Children's Legacy Luncheon
The Children's Legacy Luncheon serves to raise awareness of issues critical to the well-being of children and recognizes individuals in our community who have made significant and lasting contributions to the lives of youth through philanthropy, advocacy, volunteerism and mentoring. Last year's Outstanding Achievement Honorees were BJ and Bea Farmer, Betsy McDougall-Gibbs, Emily Moore, Kitty Rahl, and Betty Smith. Luncheon proceeds benefit the Children's Legacy Fund at the Foundation.
This year, a grant will be made to the award recipient's favorite children's charity in the Greater Eau Claire Area. Volunteers to assist both financially and coordinating the next luncheon are still needed. It will be held on April 30th, 2008 at the Downtown Civic Center. The community is asked to nominate someone for the Outstanding Achievement Award who has impacted the children of Greater Eau Claire. Download and print the nomination form and return it to the Foundation at 306 S. Barstow, Suite 104 Eau Claire, WI 54702 or by e-mail to lhookom@eccommunityfoundation.org by November, 10th 2007.
